On October 17, Kodiak provided personnel and a truck and trailer for the 6th straight year for the annual Oakville Salvation Army Food Drive. The Kodiak truck is a drop off point for local volunteers who go house to house picking up donation bags that residents leave on their driveway. After transporting the food to the Salvation Army facility, it is sorted by staff and volunteers to restock the food bank shelves. Last year, 1,616 children and 2.273 adults in Oakville were provided with emergency food from this facility. Again this year, thousands of pounds of food was collected by dozens of volunteers over the course of the day. Soon, we will again be helping with the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle program.
