Along with the original Big Beaver, we developed the Track Beaver in-house, and now are introducing the Mud Beaver. We have been utilizing a Big Beaver for 30 years for auger split spoon drilling.  After making some modifications, we have equipped it to penetrate more difficult formations and achieve greater depths with a mud rotary method.  After some trial and error, we have made some changes since this video was made and now have a dedicated “Mud-Beaver” along with an auto-hammer for SPTs. The process also involves a dedicated support truck known as the “Mud Van” equipped with pumps, hoses, and all the other gear necessary.

The setup and operation is more time consuming than conventional Beaver drilling, but we are going to depths we have never achieved using augers.  We are also adopted these methods to some of our other small drills.
