Limited Access Drilling Article Series

Sep 25, 2019 | General Interest

If you have drilled with Kodiak over the years, you have likely had Ryan at your site. Ryan has operated all of our drills over his 18+ years at Kodiak and is quite likely the most experienced limited access driller in Ontario. What you may not know is that Ryan is also a published author.

For those of us in the drilling industry, National Driller (now called, The Driller) is a popular trade publication. The magazine published a 3 part series on limited access drilling, authored by Ryan, back in 2013. Although the articles were written quite some time ago, the concepts he discusses are still relevant today and should be helpful to consultants undertaking drilling projects.

You can now access the article series online at their website by clicking on the titles below.

Part 1 – Location, Rigs for Limited Access Drilling Jobs Demand Creativity

Part 2 – Rig Access Can be Half the Job for Geotechnical, Environmental Drilling

Part 3 – Safety Just as Big on Small Drilling Jobs – Escape Plan Can Prove Crucial for Confined Spaces
